I'm calling in sick to work today, let's just say I'm not going to be far from a bathroom for the rest of the day and leave it at that, mmmkay?

Lance's nose, yes I know everyone and their sister has chimed in on this, but ahs anyone consideredthat he hasn't been out of the spotlight long enough to get a nose job AND heal up this much? A nose job causes some SERIOUS bruising. Not the little yellow bruise and swelling we've seen. Serious bruising, to BOTH eyes and nose and cheeks. Dark, nasty, balck and blue bruising with bandages. Ending up looking as though someone has tried to kill you by breaking your face in. It doesn'tlook pretty.

This just doesn't look bad enough. HAsn't at any time. We've seen the puffiness and the one yellowbruise on the eye and then pictures where it looks different. Well, yes, it would look different if you got a surfboard (or what have you) in the face and broke your nose.

The bruise phot was from last week I believe, and we had photos from just days before where there wasn't anything showing.

Mother nature and the healing process say "no to nose job."

Anesthesia can either be sedation or general. The Length of surgery ranges from 1-3 hours. You will go home the same day. Discomfort is moderate. If your nasal bones are broken as part of the procedure, expect 4-10 days of prescription pain medication. If not, expect 2-5 days. Bruising improves in 3-7 days if your nasal bones are not broken, and 7-14 days if they are. Black eyes are not unusual during this time. Swelling Improves in 1-6 weeks following closed rhinoplasty and 1-6 months following open rhinoplasty. You can minimize this time by sleeping with your head elevated for several nights after your surgery. Numbness of the tip of your nose is expected and will last for several weeks. Bandages usually include a cast and tape, which are removed in 5-10 days. Stitches on the inside of your nose do not require removal. Stitches on the outside of your nose, if you had an open rhinoplasty, will be removed in 4-7 days. Packing may be used to control bleeding. If so, it will be removed in 1-7 days. You will be presentable in public in 1-2 weeks, but you may need make-up to conceal your bruises. You may return to work within a week, but your appearance will be the limiting factor. Exercise may be resumed in 3-4 weeks. Avoid contact sports for 6 weeks if your nasal bones were broken during surgery. Your final result: may be seen as soon as 3 months or as late as two years after surgery. The majority see their final result within 6 months.

April 24 was when he skydived. No mention of any nose oddity, but the piercing was noted
April 27 was his speaking date in Michigan. No mention of any nose oddity
May 4th was his birthday (Gee, I think I'll get myself a new nose for my 25th birthday?)
May 12 was when he was photographed with his bruising
May 14 he was spotted in Las Vegas
May 20-24 he was in Fiji, surfing, which I would think would not be a reccommended post-op activity
