I'm baaaack!

Que scary music.

Or not.

So. On the day before SeSa went live I got a check inthe mail from my settlement, two monthsearly and for quite a bit more than I was expecting. I called my parents to chat and got on the computer to surf around a bit. I was checking LJ and my computer made a loud POP and hten a soft PING. I thought something popped off the back ofthe computer flew into the air and landed onthe desk. I couldn't find anything. Ten minutes later my computer dies and never started again.

Luckily I had backed everything up on Sunday.

So I have been without a computer for a week, going through withdrawls, being swamped at work (number one store in comp increase in the district, and we believe the region!). I finally managed to get down to Best Buy an hour away and buy a new computer. It is lovely. LCD screen! Sitloads of memopry, I can play Sims2 and City of Heroes!! I squee over my new computer. It's a little loud, but I can live with that.

I also may have spent way too much money on DVDS. But I can now watch the entire series of Buffy and all the old Universal horror movies! I have also gottne myself out of debt and set aside money for Challenge. Did not do anything with my eyes yet, BUT I am considering moving this spring.

Pondering, pondering.

I shall be going back to se what I missed, loading games and programs back onto this thing and building the CD racks I got for Christmas that ALL of my CDs will fit on.

There shall probably be a few more posts today as I must thank people for cards and gifts and just paly catch up. I predict at least skip=1500.

This computer is soooo fast. I love it.

I hope everyone had fantabulous holidays!!

Hey, welcome back! And happy holidays.

DVD's are wonderful, aren't they? I love being able to watch an entire season of Buffy at one sitting -- OK, one *long* sitting, but still ...

I thought of you while I was at my brother's for the holidays, because one of my nephews insisted on watching muppet movies the entire time I was there. I saw The Muppet Movie, The Muppets Take Manhattan, and Muppet Treasure Island. Underappreciated classics, all of them.

the Muppets are fun. Oh yes.

I still have a stack of stuff to mail off on my table. Including family presents, luckily I warned them all weeks ago.

Well there you are. Was rounding up a search party. Sorry about the old 'puter, but congrats on the new beast. Don't feel guilty about splurging a little, it's allowed this time of year.
And ::falls on ass:: did you actually type the words "gotten myself out of debt" in actually did it and not in the wishing I had way?!? Wow!
I never knew people could do that sort of thing. :o) There's cause for celebration! Good to see you post, Rainbow.

My debt was not that large. I have no credit cards (I learned early that credit lines and I don't mix well), it was mostly health stuff and old collections stuff to be taken care of.

Your calendar!!! I was agog, yes agog! I shall be using it at work.

Agog you say? LOL
I'm so glad you're willing to use the make-shift calendar. :o)
I hope I lined all the days and dates up right ::worries::

Big or small, debts are horrible to have hanging over one's head. I'm glad you got out from under yours.

I've found out the same thing about my relationship with credit.
It's like quicksand - and I'm sinking fast. :o)

Oh yes there is.

Believe you me, I may have done it. It equaled an entire months take home pay.

It will keep me busy for weeks, I am sure. Then I will be back to "I have NOTHING to watch".

Heh.

Then I will be back to "I have NOTHING to watch"

So true, isn't it? So true.

But, of course, by then many more new and exciting things will have come out on dvd and all will be right with the world. :-)
