What are the friending protocols?
Should I comment before or after I friend someone?
Can I just be a lurker forever?
What are the unfdiending protocols?
Should I give warning?
Be ruthless?

It hasn't come up yet as the only people I've unfriended are people who didn't have me friended so I doubt they ever knew. Just curious. I'm not abou to defriend anybody at this point.

And cookies to whomever knows what the above subject is from - without looking it up or googling it.

I just realized the last few posts have been music free. Strangely I haven't been listening to much music lately. Or watching anything.

And today at work we found out that ALL of the Managers (excludingthe General M) are leaving in the next few weeks to new stores. Do I don't I apply? Eh. Should be fun. I know we're getting two in in the middle of August, plus a new Supervisor. I'm curious to see how they'll fit in. Both straight and married. We need more queer representation in the store. It's just me and Jenn in the cafe and she's only back for the summer.

hmp. I want all of the CFTC ladies to think dirty thoughts at Lance for me. and pics! I want pics!

I rarely commment after a friending. I'll maybe mention it the first time we talk. If I'm friending someone who friended me first, I never say anything, because if they're reading mine, then of course they don't care that I'm reading theirs.

Defriending is different. I tend to only defriend for non-specific reasons in a mass friends-list trimming. If I ever need to defriend for a specific reason I'll probably leave them a comment in the post that led to the defriending.

Also, once someone's on your friends list, they can find out about it. It's not true lurking if they can find your name on a list and come into your journal.

I'm also really amused by the words that get created in LiveJournal. DEfriended is not a real word. In fact I doubt there are any verb forms of "friend". I wonder if we can get into the Oxford Dictionary. They put "bling bling" in there.

oh, dear lord.

"bling bling" is in the dictionary?

Defriend will show up eventually. I'l truly worry if "crunk" shows up.

I have never understood friending protocols. If I see someone interesting I add them to my friends list. I usually don't comment at all. I am also famous for lurking. I can't tell you how many people I have not commented to. I always feel like I am going to say something stupid, so I say nothing.

Unfriending on the other hand, I am not very good at. I think I have only "unfriended" 4 people. Usually the ones that didn't friend me back. I would love to get an explaination when I get dropped from a friends list. I often wonder what I did wrong or if I am just that boring of a person. *shrugs*

My favorite was bewing friended by someone for a total ofthree days. In that three days I friended that person back. We chatted.

I was all "wha' hoppen'?" afterwards. Funny.

Eee! Cookies!

No fair! I was away from the computer for most of the last few days and I totally missed this post.

I did too know it! I did! ::stomps foot::

But, if you're sending the cookies my way anyway, I'll be glad to have them. I like chocolate chip, in case you're keping track.

Ian, you're so very generous. Thank you for offering up your cookies to me.

::wanders away::

Because, it's really all about the show tunes in my world. ;-)
