comic book store. Its raining so I'm resigned to wet shoes.

Dollar Tree for kitschy goodness for the gifts. I warn you now, don't have too high of expectations for this, theres 16 people I'm doing this for. It's still fun and things will probably be shipping out startting next week. SOme ofthem won't be arriving until after the 25th. Sorry.

Shopping at work! Discount weekend! Must.Control.Myself. luckily DVDs aren't ebing extra discounted so that will save me a bundle.

Market Days is being rained on so Ithink many of the vendors will have packed up. Damn. I was wanting to hit the book and music tents. One of them looked likethey had DVDs.

The big Questions! Does anybody know if a Puppy Shelter or NSYNCland exists for the Backstreet Boys?

I need Christmassy pics of NSync! And Nick. IT will all make sense later. I swear.

Help?

Me too. I got the card you sent me a few days ago and would have thanked you for it profusely if I hadn't just told myself, "OK, I've bought my iPod, now it's time to save money for a while." Grrrr. Fortunately, there's not all that much out there right now that I actually want to get -- but that's not keeping me from heading up there tonight to browse around. ^_^

The beach was good, though quite hot and humid. Fortunately, there was lovely ocean right there to cool off in.

One morning I had gone to the beach alone (while my friends slept in), and I had to wander around sking random people if they would put suntan lotion on my back for me. A very nice older lesbian couple finally obliged. ^_^

And BTW, I wound up buying the new Me First and the Gimme Gimmes CD at Borders last night. Quite good.

I have come to the realization that I spend waayyy to much on comics. And I've cut back. I only go every other week and this week was 50 bucks, which is down from 80.

So not bad. Not to mention I get some stuff at work. So overall, JLA, Ultimate Marvel stuff, Hunter, Fables, Scion, Astro City, Liberty Meadows,BotP, Alias,Authority, Superman titles, Green Arrow, Outsiders (and I am so stoked for this one), Inhuman, X-Men titles (not sure why I still get uncany, New is good), Flash, birds of Prey, Legion, must get JSA but she was out of it.

I need my Nodwick and PS238.

I've never been a huge indie person, heavily mainstream. That's me.

I'm in the process of deciding what Huntress stuff to send to a frined in the Philippeans (sp?) and having a hard time, the Cry of Blood is a go, an action figure is there, a Death plushie, but other stuff is eluding me.

-------

I've been a lurker at your LJ and yahoo group (I keep forgetting about the ones I belong to). It sounds as fi your going through a rough patch, hope you make it through ok. I don't want to give you platitudes about "this too shall pass" as they didn't help much when I hit rock bottom. Betrayl always hurts and is extremely difficult to get over. I lost a boyfriend AND my best friend of ten years due to their actions. Most of my friends at the same time as I found they all knew what was going on. So suckage abounds.

And I'm pretty much just babbling. Nice first impression on my part.

Any comic recs? I need to do something this summer as inventory screwed up both CFTC and San Diego Comiccon for me.

poo.

Well these days I really only go after anything JSA-related. I've been a big fan of the golden agers from waaaaay back. Once and again I'll pick up JLA to see what's going on.

Used to follow Avengers, but I've lost interest in it here over the last year or so.

Yeah, some major suckage going on right now. Major, major suckage. Just when I think I'm over it all, I get sucked back into it, and recent events aren't helping matters any.

Anyway.

Added you to the friends list! For some strange reason you weren't showing up. Hm.

I agree on the Avengers thing. They lost me in the last year. But they did grab me with the Fantastic Four. Ahaven't read that since yrne. And I am all over the Golden Age JSA stuff. Third largest section in my collection (after Legion and titans), JSA, All-Star Squadron, the various permutations. One of my favorites.
