I cave, the OTP meme

1. What's your all-time OTP? (Slash or het, any fandom at all)
Longest: JC/Lance, favorite Lance/Howie; in HP fandom its Harry/Draco all the way
2. Which pairing do you just not understand?
Anything with Joey being with another guy outside of one-time curiosity. He just comes across, to me at least, as the straightest of the straight. I rarely find it believable when he's gay. In HP fandom anything with Snape, *shudders* those actually scare me. And for some unkown reason I just don't get Ron/Harry. Strange.
3. Which pairings were you initially against, but found yourself warming toward? (real and fake, any fandom)
I hated the Trickyfish when I started seeing it around, refused to read it at all. Then I saw The Reel NSYNC and it started making a little more sense to me. Then I stumbled across The Wisconsin Story whose name I forget of the top of my head and fell in love with it. Now it beats the Lambs out nine times out of ten.
4. Of the *NSYNC boys, which one can you legitimately see as being gay?
I will not be surprised if Lance comes out some day, JC & Chris might be bi (although I seem to see JC as just not interested right now so who knows?) and wil be very surprised if Howie marries a woman. I agree with those who have said Kevin is probably bi.
5. Lance and his new photo shoot: gay gay gay, must've been drunk off his ass and going for porn star cred, or his last-ditch effort to snare Joey/JC/Justin/Chris?
Honestly, I think he realized that this isn't going to last forever and decided to just grab the bull by the balls and ride it. Wait that came out wrong. He's got it so he's flaunting it while he still can have fun with it. I so wish I could have seen his reaction when those photos hit the net.

Date: 2003-06-28 11:10 pm (UTC)I agree that JC doesn't seem to have directed sexuality--that is, he's sexual, but doesn't have sex objects per se. Howie...yes. He doesn't even know how to act straight.
I'm curious, though. People often read Kevin as the straightest of the straight BSBs. Why do you agree he's probably bi?

And, I believe, the self esteem that comes from having a bod others will drool over AND having accomplished something so few have ever, or will ever, do - becoming a certified cosmonaut/astronaut. Regardless of the fact he didn't go up (yet) he's proven that he is able to do so.
Of the BSB the straightest, to me at least, has always been AJ. I'm not really sure why, he just does. Not as straight as Joey so I can still accept the slash he's in.

And he does look fetching in a skirt.

Aww. Now I'm feeling all proud of Lance. (Not that I didn't before--I wrote a coming-home-from-Russia story (http://www.livejournal.com/users/xoverau/78601.html#cutid1) and everything--but moreso.) I agree with you that he knows how quickly things pass, and he wants to document the moment. A lot of his quotes even from the early days make that clear.

Heh, and I can see AJ as bi. I can see him in love with/developing an attachment to anyone who could deal with his problems and who loved him sufficiently back. I can see him entering a relationship that could never be public for self-destructive reasons, too--many of his quotes are pessimistic. "With my</> luck..." this, "Knowing me..." that.
