moving?

A couple of people I know are probably moving to Charlston, SC, in September. They've asked if I'd be interested in going with.

Does anybody know anything about the area? Other than the fact there are NO Borders in the entire state (what's up with that? That's on the con list.) or Tower Records, Virgin Megastore. Does this mean I will have to work at Barnes & Noble if I do this? Ick, ties.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

i don't know a lot, but i can tell you that it's one of the most beautiful towns i have ever seen.
it's very calm and serene.
not sure how big the nightlife is, but Folly Beach, among other things, more than makes up for it.
i was only there for a short while, but it didn't seem to have a lot of corporate businesses.

yeah, that was no help, but.

it's a great town.

It's where I sent Coop to buy clothes, so he can dress like a gentleman.

She-crab soup. Shrimp-and-grits. And within the Ground Zero Zone of Myrtle Beach, which is, of course, the Epicenter of Beach Music.

I've never lived in that area of the US so I'm seriously contemplating it.
