soooooo...
Mar. 26th, 2003 08:03 pmI'm in the store today, on lunch, looking for something to read. I wanted to start a trilogy or a series of AU tyoe stuff. Turtledove's Alternate Histories (not in mood for sci fi), Huff's Summoner (read), Lackey's Serrated Edge, Card's Alvin Maker (read), de Lint's Moonheart, among other general series. Do you know how annoying it is to discover that literally all of the series I wanted to start we were out of stock on the first volumes?
Annoying beyond belief.
But there was chocolate, so my day was better thasn yesterday. And thanks to those of you who commiserated. It helped.

But Wait!

Date: 2003-03-26 06:00 pm (UTC)Mysteries, i will notate the author and check him out in my next mystery binge. Right now I'm in a total AU mood. So not Laurell Hamilton, she annoys the total fuck out of me. More alongthe lines of magic/powers in todays society. Wild Cardseries (which, again, we didn't have vol. 1), the authors mentioned. I'm at a loss as to what to read next. I'm not interested in high fantasy right now, or space opera.
Rec me something!! Favorite genre titles?? Authors??
