random weirdness

lincolnkwI didn't fall asleep 'til 3:30 in the morning and then was up at 9am. I don't have to be at work until 3ish then won't leave until 11:30. I'm so gonna be dead tired by 6. Break out the chocolate covered espresso beans!
At least I have the next couple of days off, STILL have to get my tickets to go to my parents. And, dammit, I STILL need to finish my Christmas shopping.
Oh, hell. I still need to start it. Except for my nephew/brother, he's getting the boxed set of Series of Unfortunate Events, everybody else though - no idea. He'll love it.
And before anybody goes "nephew/brother" say what?! He's my youngest sister's son who she gave up to my parents to adopt. So that makes him my nephew/brother. He's trying to come up with a new name for it. Personally, until he stops calling me Uncle Lincoln, he's my nephew. It's gonna be his choice.
So that makes two kids from my mom's first marriage, me and my brother from this marriage, my sister's best friend who lived with us for 7 years, two adopted sisters and finally Nycky. Can you say blended family?
Haven't heard from the other sister, K, in almost 5 years now. Last we heard she was accusing our parents of stealing the money from her father's inheritance. Which, when we checked into it, was gone before we ever met her. We pretty much only get news from bill collectors when they are at their wit's end. Why does she put us down as references if she doesn't want to be related to us? Weird child, she needs to grow up, she's 30 now, after all.
Oh. My. God. She's 30!!
I feel old now.
I need to go get something to eat before I get ready for work. Preferably something with alcohol.
