skip if you wish

I got to work yesterday and saw that it was, quite literaly, a MADHOUSE! People everywhere.

not enough employees to help everyone. Then I get pulled into the office to be told that they are NOT hiring anyone for my department as there is an indefinite hiring freeze on. They have even been told, that unless we lose too many, we will not be replacing those who leave.

WTF!

I found out later, that it isn't even our store that is having a problem with payroll. It's the smaller stores that we have to pick up the district's slack for to cover their overages in hours. No Manager above me, short 2 people underneath me, they will be shifting one of the people I have into another department, they keep saying things will get better but we are more and more becoming a corporate entity. I don't want to work at B&N. There's a reason I chose to take the position at Borders. That reason is fast dissapearing.

Maybe I should start looking at Virgin again. Or maybe it's time for me to get into another field entirely. Go back to school again and finally get that Social-Psychology degree, or the Teaching one.

Eh.

On another note I just looked at the clock and am supposed to leave for work in 3 minutes. I'mstill not dressed or shaved. it's going to be a scruffy day today.

I was skimming quickly through this post and caught this sentence out of context. It turned out to be not quite as interesting as I'd originally thought. ^_^
