Free swag!!

I got hoem from work and found a package from Ian. Three CDS! Will be listening to them tomorrow. And learning about Beach music at the same time. Whee!
And today was promo day at work (cause I'm nice that way and have the power) so I brought home Into The Woods with Vanessa William, Very Best Ofs by Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mack and Nanci Griffith, and CDs from Karrin Allyson & Eliza Gilkyson.
This could explain why I have over 1200 CDs and no place to put most of them. And I still have a stack of 15 or so at work to take home.
Speaking of work, it was hell. What kind of scheduler makes me (a supervisor, NOT a manager) be the only managerial type in the store for four hours. At close. When half the closing staff calls out or goes home sick. It was hell. Ended up closing the cafe an hour early simply because I needed the manpower in the main part of the store. I'm surprised we actually had things ready in a reasonable amout of time.
New CDs tomorrow: Daniel Rodriguez (the NY police officer), Hall & Oates, Yanni, Willy Nelson, Vince Gill, Grammy Nominees, Patsy Larkin (?), Massive Attack, and John Mayer (live).
I love New Release Tuesdays at work.
I needto make a new Me icon (or ask Kare to do it) since I shved my head again today. All gone. Feels a little like fine grade sandpaper now, making the putting on of my hoodie difficult. I love the looks I keep geting. And the rubbing of the head, people feel the need to do that.
And why do people think I'm mean now? Nothing has changed except my hair. So I'm 6'1" and 200 lbs. So I have a shaved head. So I wore mostly black today. And boots, making me taller. So I have a tendency to glower when I have headache and fighting the flu. Why would people be scared of little ole me?
Hee, it's fun when someone's trying to make a stink at one of my cashiers for following the rules. If you stay pleasant and nice, say please and remain polite I may, just MAY bend the rules for you. Start swearing and you better leave, if you throw someting I'm calling the cops. this homo don't allow you to play that in my store. I've called the cops before and I'll do it again. I'm protective of my people.
I forget what time I'm supposed to work tomorrow, so I will have to get up early and call in at opening to make sure. **grump**
