They look purty comin' down.

And they're covering up the dog pee in front of the holistic vet. Bonus!

Have not been into the whole computer thing for that last couple of days. So missed out on lots of happenings. So to catch up.

Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] allen_sama! You and [livejournal.com profile] mdbl are pushing me like you wouldn't believeto work on the drawing. And all without aying a word. Can Isay, Allen, that Justin's feet in that last picture? Wow.

Kare, I'm thinking of you and holding you in my thoughts. Heck, I just won't let go, think of me as a big ol'e puppy following you around and trying to make you feel better. Must chat, soon.

And yes, I know this is late but: Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] beatpropx!! HOpe it was a good one.

On a side note, and I just remembered this, Christa McAuliffe's (sp?) daughter was in the store again just yesterday. Weird.

Mr. McDuff? Where have you disappeared to?

[livejournal.com profile] amandazillah? Pagansync? I so can hardly wait for this!

And, since Ispent much of the day in the children's department today

1) Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson, so simple yet extremely fun. The power of imagination.

2) Fox In Sox by Dr. Seuss, I have loved this book since I was little. One of my Aunts made up pillowcases for each of the kids using pictures from the book. My older sister got Q for Queen and I stole it from her. I was 9. I guess that was a sign of things to come.

3) Toot and Puddle and the others in the series by Holly Hobbie. yes, that Holly Hobbie. The cutest stories about two pigs. Beautifully painted, I want the originals so bad.

4) Eloise by Kay Thompson, so snarky, she's a handful. Wonderfully involved line drawings.

5) Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales by Jon Sciezka and Lane Smith, oh so tongue in cheek fairy tales. With an adult twist to some of them.

6) The Library by Sarah Stewart and David Small, Beautiful line drawings with watercolor paints. And it's about books! Love it to death.

7) Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst adn Ray Cruz. Poor Alexander, it makes me laugh every time. She's my mom, I swear.

8) Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes. Or any of his others. Kid's books that adults will enjoy. Humour that hits home and makes you think of things from your own childhood.

9) Olivia by Ian Falconer, what can you say about a pig in a red tutu? Just cute.

10) One Monster After Another by Mercer Mayer, line work that must be seen to be believed. The monsters are fabulous! Owned this one when I was a kid, Wore it out twice, if I remember right.

Hey my sweetie pie.

I'm off to bed but wanted to check my FRIENDS list one more time before doing that. Glad I did because you make me feel warm and fuzzy and nice and safe.

*nod* Did you know you did all that?

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm gonna need them a lot this week and until we find out the results..not sure how fast that sorta thing comes through. And then the next month will be tough until the surgery. Still hoping it won't be necessary..but you know. We'll deal if it is.

And yeah...I miss you around here! So chatting would be good. We'll each play "Italian Leather Sofa" and pretend we're just sitting around bullshitting okay? (sorry...the country gal in me...still sexy? *laugh*)

*hugs you* means a lot babe.
