lincolnkwso random today. no attention span for anything. Which isn't normal for me, usually I can buckle down and work on one thing. Not today. For some reason I was doing all sorts of weird things, none of which I finished.
Case in point: tried sorting my comics (too big of a job to do in one day, we're talking almost eight thousand comics), tried alphabetising the CDs (couldn't decide if iwanted them strictly like at work A-Z w/ various at the end or by genre. They are currently in stacks.), make more icons (found lots of pictures I want to use but can;t think of witty things to say), draw pictures (had to decide what to draw, got distracted by the subject matter. No not porn, the SDBs.), write (eh, no inspiration to edit, sorry), burns CDs (did seven then delelted files, didn't finish the other 4).
Then I got completely off track when straightening the bookshelves and went through my D&D stuff and made up a bunch of characters. I haven't played in almost three years. The game thatwill be starting next month isn't this system it's Mage, which is completely different.
Went shopping, but forgot to by the main thing I went for, decided to go back tomorrow.
Dug out all my old sketchbooks, damn but I've deteriorated art-wise. Will improve.
Found my old photo albums. Why do I want old pictures of me? I'd rather have pictures ofthe rest ofthe family. Will have to fix that next time I go to parents.
Found my old sheet music for the piano. It's up at my parents and won't fit in this apartment. Another skil deteriorating.
Managed to listen to the 10 CDs I haven't listenedto yet. Then realized that there are at least 15 more sitting on my desk at work to take home. I love free promos.
I believe I have now watched every video & DVD I own. Not sure, a couple have me wondering if I actually finished them. Wait. Haven't finished Star! with Julie Andrews. The biopic of Gertrude Lawrence. Funny so far. Damn long.
Ooh a quote I like: Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic. One of the few things, outside of The 20 Blues Rules, which I liked her spamming me with. She lives for the forwarding.
At ice cream and had a coffee shake. What is it about negative degree weather that makes me want those?
Washed some pots and pans, cause we all know that I'll need those sometime soon.
Had problems with my computer randomly disconnecting, I hate snow and an old house with not so hot connections.
So not in the mood to make any comments tonight on other's LJs. Not sure why. Must go sit under sunlamp, the insomnia has returned.
And what's the deal by having me be on vacation for seven days, work one and then have two days off? Can you say mondo annoying? They didn't even need me.
Deleted games that I haven't played in like six months. Never finished so why, of why, did I spend the money? I'm so much an impulse shopper, I was raised that way. Both my parents were really bad, they've pretty much got it under control but still have some credit issues. Me I made sure I stayed away from credit cards. I so don't need the temptation, I would just max them out and keep them there. Not worth the trouble really.
Someone once told me to budget the luxuries first and always pay cash.
I'm going to go make a Christmas mix CD now. It's after the holidays, but I work retail so the holiday season is more of an annoyance than anythign else. Might be different if I had kids or a spouse but single and in retail? We usually all get together at the end of July for a huge Christmas In July Party, which Iwill be missing, again, this year. It's in San Diego and I am not, and if I want to move this year I can't afford to fly out there for just a party.
OK, enough moping. I think I will go find new Howie pictures to look at since I am woefully low on the Dorough pics.
