Awesome! I didn't realize it was finished. I've had the song for a while now and just love it. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. He's so lovely!
My John Barrowman list is talking about it, and my friend Michelle showed it to me last night. The song is "meh" but the video is lovely! So sweet.
Anyway, I'm the crazy lady you talked to last night at your job about Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, etc., and so I thought I'd check if it was okay if I friended you.
Also, I am sad to hear that the new Gypsy is so sucky. I had high hopes for Lupone as Mama Rose, and I too am quite fond of Boyd Gaines, though not as much for his musical performances as for the few bits he's done on British television here and there. I was impressed with the production of Mahoganny that was on PBS a few months ago, with Lupone as the Madam. She was fabulous, I thought. Did you happen to catch that?
Oh, and in case you haven't looked it up yet, here's the Naoko Mori in Avenue Q clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OJ9tejzMUg) I told you about. She shows up a little way into the first bit. Enjoy!
friend away! I shall do so in return as I'm like that.
That clip was fantastic! Who knew she could sing like that? I clicked a couple of the other links and found a video of she and Barrowman singing a couple of bits from "Miss Saigon" - she's really quite good.
Yeah, I am constantly impressed by how well a lot of English actors and actresses sing. One of my many secret British actor boyfriends is Jeremy Northam, who surprised the heck out of a lot of people with his wonderful singing in Gosford Park.
Glad you enjoyed the clip! I need to go watch the Barrowman/Mori Miss Saigon clips. I've been steering away, because I absolutely cannot stand that musical (I've tried, because I love Les Mis, but I just cannot. I hate Madame Butterfly too, though, so at least I'm consistent!), but I should at least see them together, Torchwood girl that I am.
And you shall indeed be friended then! I'm also a hit-and-miss poster and commenter, so there's a pair of us! ;)
