Good grief.

I have no plans to leave LJ (even though I did join Insane Journal the other day - same name as here, one has to be able to track people down ya know.), then I saw what certain members of fandom did.

If I do leave? It's because of fandom and NOT LJ/6A. Batshit insane, people.

Good grief again.

And my NY week in October, may just be a long weekend as a family reunion may be in the offing that weekend.

The second moreso than the first. The first one annoys the holy hell out of me for many reasons that others have said more clearly and mre passionatley, the second because it has so many levels of "blow up in your face" that they aren't thinking about.

I couldtotally make a post about this whole fiasco, but I have the feeling most of my fl might agree from the comments I've already seen, and I really don't want to be flamed by the aforementioned "batshit insane" contingent.

And now I wonder if batshit causes insanity for real....

*nods* Though, since the person who started the petition has supposedly contacted the media, that seems like it has potential to blow up publicly as well. Wouldn't that be awesome.

I have no thoughts regarding this other than "that's fandom down the drain". And the rather quiet, nagging, pitiful thought, "thank god I never got up the nerve to actually write ordraw anything."

And you have to compare this to fandom_leaves (or whatever it's called), they seem to be going about it with level heads and realism.

It's still totally in the planning stages but it's looking like some point of time between the 9th and the 17th of October.

I was planning on the entire time but that's way too expensive and a possible family conflict at the beginning of it. I'm hoping for at least the 12th through the 15th. That should give me at least three or four shows. I fear when the time comes to actually choose.

If I could afford it I would totally move down there.
