So for the New York trip in October, should I attempt to buy Broadway/Off-Brodway tickets in advance or try the TKTS thing??

I will be there for the last week of "Xanadu" and the first week of "Young Frankenstein" (which AMEX card holders can get presales now, alas I am not an AMEX card holder). I also want to try "Altar Boyz", "Hairspray", "Avenue Q", "Forbidden Broadway", "The Drowsy Chaperone" and "Spamalot". It's possible, I think. And yes I realize how much that shall be costing - I shall attempt the financials. How much do you save using TKTS? I can save huge on a hotel by staying at a Hostel.

I could squeeze in a Matinee and an evening show on Saturday and Sunday - that's four. Then a show on Thursday, Friday and Monday. Hmmm, that leaves one out. Are there matinees any other day of the week? I was planning on a Wednesday through Tuesday trip but could possibly get another day in there. The cool thing is that Friday of the trip is a payday so extra money for me! I shall be there the 10th through the 15th.

That leaves me free time during the day. What else should I do??

KC and bachelor_girl - whay days shuld I set aside for you? Any preference for a show? We'de have to go dutch, though.

Anyone else??
