I guess it comes down to whether people accept/believe that there is any risk at all. You could make the same graph debating true/false on alien attacks, or global pandemics, or terrorism.

People have to accept there is a real risk of anything happening before they commit themselves to changing anything, let alone spending money, or, more importantly big corporations not making as much money.

Anyway, as it happens I agree with him - but since when have reasonable arguments worked on the kinds of people who don't believe in global climate change?
