Confort food

I have no idea where this came from.

I'm a single guy and your stereotypical bachelor, I don't cook very much. I prefer quick stuff: open a box and add water, open a can, order out, whatever. Occassionaly I do cook, usually when I'm feeling down or out of it and it got me wondering. I almost always resort to the same recipes to make myself feel better.

My Comfort Food
Catfish & Rice Pilaf
Hamburger & potato hash
Roasted chicken & mashed potatoes
Oatmeal
Raw Green Beans - fresh

Then there are the things, when I visit my parents, that my Dad will make because he knows they are my favorites.

Family Favorites
Tacos
Pinneapple Cheesecake
Homemade Turkey Noodle Soup from scratch
Farmer's breakfast
a big juicy steak, rare

And, vegetarians, please don't get on my case about the red meat and stuff. I grew up partially on my grandparent's farm and I know what it's like to slaughter and dress a cow, pig, etc.

I'm feeling very feral to go along with the fluffy today. Nice cut of beef, lightly seasoned, briefly *briefly* introduced to the grill. Damn, I was going to make pot stickers tonight, but all of a sudden I feel the need for steak.
