So. I have been AWOL for a while now. The brand new lovely FAST computer I bought just over a week ago? Has a bad hard drive. Gateway is being qonderful and sending me a new one in exchange. Whish me luck in swapping them out.

In the meantime, just as I knew would happen, I got sucked into City of Heroes. Josh, you soooo need to get your computer able to play this. It is too fun. Sims 2 is being figured out and I am lookign forward to the new expansion (Sims 2: University - or something like that) with great glee.

I have also read my first Harry/Snape story. I am shocked. This pairing actually squicks me something fierce but I found the story quite believable. That helps. AND I have been spending time loading music onto my brand spanking new 40bg iPod. Gotta love new toys. ANDAND I discovered a couple of epic Spike/Xander stories that I am working my way through: Repossession and the Stranger Than series. Lovely, angsty, humorous, and hot. Even the stuff I normally don't like (ie: blood play, fisting, and BDSM are truly hot).

I have to thank people for Christmas cards: sirkate, jaciesplace, adelate, kinkykittens (thank you for the magnet!), alittleblue (lordy! the boxers and cds are fantastic!), giddyupnow (oh. my. god. How did you know I have aad love on for Disney techno mixes???? Thank you!), stormwynd (that card made me snort soda), otherdeb, canadiankracka (Chicagooooo!), escapist_xbq (eeeee. the cds! the snippet! madlovealloveryou!), ninjetti75, seiyaharris (that card you made!), canalbaby (the trading cards! and Disney! I miss Disney.), tallories (thanks you forthe CD mix!), msktrnanny (you think I would have been ready for it, what with everyone's reactions to your surprises in the cards. I wasn't. The hallway has little snowflakes still), crownzeal (the boxers so soft, the card so yum), _karebear (an NSYNC card! With a Kenny label on it. Yummeh!), nothinggold, chootoy (the calendar. THE CALENDAR!), and jcsillusion. If Iforgot youm I'm sorry, I think I misplaced a couple of cards.

THANK YOU ALL!!! This holiday season was a fun one!

And to those I owe wishlist items to...I haven't forgotten. They are all sitting on the table ready to go. I just have to get the load of them down to the post office. In the snow. On foot. Yeah, sorry. I have arranged to get a ride down there Tuesday. Don't feel too bad, my parents still have their box sitting in the living room as well.

I need to upload icons again. Get more involved in LJ this year, and get my damn eyes fixed. They are doing something rather strange now. I don't have any depth perception but I swear, now my vision is like those 3-d books you had as a kid, where everything was on it's own plane. It's beginning to freak me out. It's almost exactly liek nightmares I used to have as a kid. Only while awake.

I may have also gone on an Amazon shopping spree. Don Callender's 'Mancer series, the Elfquest prose story collections, Ranma 1/2 seasons 1 to 3. CDs from people I can't get at work Susan Egan, Megan McDonough, Anthony Rapp and R&P.

If I'm going to dothe whole music sharing thing like I want I need ot get a website to share files on. I dislike yousendit. But I have finally learned how to save a file that won't actually download for me. So I guess Hasweb here I come.

I must shower and shave. Wil be cutting my hair into aa style I want to see if it works. If it does I shall have it for Challenge. Now must decide on a color. A permanent type dye, not that stuff that washes out when it gets wet and stains. Hmmmm.


I think it's time to cycle my default icon. I've had this one for two years now. I can't remember who gave it to me.
