Can anybody explain to me how my phone line does not work but the DSL line does??

And of course, the office is closed today so I can't get anybody to fix it.

Black Friday

I spent waaaaay to much money today. Sadly, most of it on me. The big Holiday shopping spree will be on the 10th.

I bought my two weeks worth of comics. 80 bucks. This is after a 20% discount.

BUT!!

I got The BEst of the Legion Outpost!! Highlights from the Legion fanzine/fanclub newsletter predating the APA Interlac. It is packed full of articles, illustrations and interviews. A wonderful thing.

So. A quick rundown:

Teen Titans 18 and Superman/Batman 14 SQUEE!!! Elseworld issues! I have such aweakness for these things. AUs make me happy. And the whole Tim/Tim interaction is interesting, I believe this takes place before the events in Identity Crisis 6.

various Ultimate issues. X-Men - downer of an ending. Spidey - I love this series, it's fun. FF - interesting take, I especially like the interaction between the kids, they ARE kids still, Johnny's in High School, the others are probably around 18-19 years old. Elektra - feh, I'm just getting this to round out the collection. It hasn't grabbed me. May drop it.

Flash 216 - the last panel is such a look of happiness crossed with "ohshit". Wonderful.

Invincible - hee. This series has totally grown on me.

Powers has just taken a VERY interesting turn. I'm curious where he's going with this.

X-Men has me asking "what the fuck?" Sammy's dead, the void has taken the others and that last page? Angst much? The same type of thing goes for Wonder Woman, what is with this turn for darkness happening in my comics???

Green Arrow. I have no words. Judd Winick is my god. First gaybashing and now an HIV positive hero. Wow.

No major feelings either way about the other issues I bought except that I am probably dorpping Cosmic Guard and giving the New Thunderbolts and Invaders two more issues to catch my interest.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. Fantastic Four 520. Johnny Storm. "Where's the bathroom?" I laughed my way through the opening of this issue.
