Can anybody explain to me how my phone line does not work but the DSL line does??

And of course, the office is closed today so I can't get anybody to fix it.

Also, I MAY have just bought 15 DVDs at nsyncland. What? Ony 4 bucks each.

Is this where my working for the phone company comes in handy? Hmm...

Ok, the deal is this: Even though both your phone and the ADSL come in on the same phone line, they are totally separate functions on completely differnet systems. So something may be wrong with the phone system in your area, but the ADSL will be working just fine. And even though it's a holiday, repair should be open for your phone company. Usually 611 will get you to them. They are supposed to be 24/7 as they are an essential service.

It means there is nothing wrong with your phone LINE, per se, but it's a bigger problem, say a switch has gone down or some wires have been cut that affect phones but not ADSL. Quite often the 611 service will have a recording informing people of outages in their areas, so you don't even need to talk to someone in repair.

And on another note, I've been meaning to ask you - Any word on HP?

cool! Thank you very much. It isn't inconveniencing me any, I only realized it was down when I went to check my bank balance. So I'll call tomorrow and see what's up.

If it's the first, the DVD for HP3 is out and selling well. The interview extras annoyed me, rather I should say the interviewers. The book for HP6 is rumored to be coming out in June. Someone said June 5th. Still no official word from Rowling or the publisher, but it was on muggle-net. So, we'll see.

I firmly believe it will be June though. The frenzy shall be interesting since it's the penultimate chapter. (I've always wanted to use that word.)

If it's the second, I can't help you there.

And can I say - everytime I see your LJ name I think "Lambs in Space!!" and then it morphs into the Muppet skit "Piiigs iinnnn Spaaaaaace!!!" and I start snickering. Because of the Angel episode "Smile Time", I can now picture them as plush muppet characters. They're just too cute.
