I sneak out of the woodwork
Oct. 26th, 2004 06:13 pmActually, I've been busy.
Work and Keene Pumpkin Fest 2004. Over 27,000 carved pumpkins in the natio's largest display of said pumpkins. Some damn good jobs at carving and the obligatory first time pumpkins for the kids. Sadly, no pumkin pie anywhere, which I found just odd. I helped set up some booths, put pumkins in displays and take names for the contest. It was cold and smelled like pumpkin. I did this on Saturday, Friday I helped get all of the roads blocked off, and Sunday to clean up. This is on top of my regular work schedule, mind you. Fun. Cold, but fun. Also very tiring.
I also got sucked into an epic Xander/Spike series of novels/novellas. Still not finished with it and I'm on the seventh novel in the series. It's called Stranger Things and also stars Angel and Doyle, the latter of whom I am afraid to admit I have no idea of what he looks like or anything. It's long, involved, soap-operaish (of course) with oh-so-hot sex, mysteries, humor, drama and schmoopiness. There are still two novels to go PLUS the tenth installment still being written.
I love this story.
Now, to catch up on e-mail and post the wacked-put Marty Stu dream I had starring Chris Kirkpatrick. Oh, the shame. It involved the cliches - winning the lottery and small children. Very, very Marty Stu. No sex though.
