So much with the random thoughts this morning. I spent yeaterday goign through all 7000 or so comics I own trying to find a single issue to see if something was said in it. I found it and did lots of reminiscing of the 80s. My favorite era in comics. So to share the geekiness of myself I give you:
My Ten Favorite Comic Series
Legion of Super-Heroes (20+ teens with powers in the far future, 30 years strong)
Elfquest (elves! Wendy Pini! beautiful art & story)
Associated Student Bodies (anthro animals in college, gay dorm, soap opera, sex)
Planetary (conspiracy theories abound, with homages to various genres)
JLA (DCs big guns in one series)
JSA (the classics!) & All-Star Squadron (superheroes in WWII)
Castle Waiting (fairy tales with a twist, excellent storyteling)
Elseworlds tales (DCs "what if's?")
the Ultimate line (Marvels reimagining of their universe, X-Men, Avengers & Spiderman)
Sandman (duh)
on another note, if the companies are goingto make action figures they better damn well have some sort of articulation to them. A figure that only moves it'a arms is NOT an action figure. It's a statue with movable parts. I want shoulders, hips, waist, neck, elbows and knees. If not ankles and wrists or biceps) The old GI Joe figures were extremeley articulated. Why, oh why, not anymore?
Scuplting and articulation. That's all I ask for.
The game Freedom Force is FUN!! Superhero strategy/RPG. Customizable characters like the Sims.
