Pity party for one.

Yep. Two of the openers today were at the party last night. They called in "sick." We had to open the store with 2 people total, instead of 5 (we were already short one). Then 3 more people called out or went home. One girl went home on lunch and never came back, never called. I finally alled here after she had been gone an extra hour, she said she just felt like leaving and not coming back. Bitch. At least have the decency to call and let us know. God, don't people have any respect anymore.

And two people directly under me have quit, one got transfered to different department. One of the ones who quit was another "just never come back from their day off" person the other actually quit to do something in her field. And make more money. Yes, retail pays little bitty bucks.

And my Manager has accepted a position across the country. She leaves in a month. I'm not sure if I want to apply for her job or not. The music stuff, no problem. The cafe stuff, Clueless Boy. Although I did manage a fast food restaurant for almost a year. Shouldn't be too different. Only problem there is the staff in the cafe right now are all ready to kil each other. They have no supervision, as their supervisor is at another store and probably won't be back.

Grrr. I love my job, but sometimes I hate it.

Onto happier stuff.

I love Kare's kink questionnaire, it actually had me thinking of pairings I don't normally think of. Fun stuff. And beatpropx prostate fic? I want the next one! Like now. He says he's not a writer. Don't you believe him. It's very well written. Also fun.

The Chicago soundtrack comes out tomorrow. Yes! I've been looking forward to this. I listened to it today and CZJ has a really nice voice. Queen Latifah sings! RZ isn't too bad. Gere is...interesting. overall I like it. Now if I can only get to the movies to see it. Still need to see TTT and the new HP. I suck at the movie going, and I know that I need to see these films in the theater. But I hate going by myself.

My stage experience to date (not counting HS stuff)

We toured with a children's troupe for six months in college; "Deadwood Dick" the villains sidekick; "Dracula: The Musical" on the army base after college (the only part I ever had where I had to intentionally sing bad) Renfield; in one ofthe casts in Riverside/San berdoo are oh so many years ago for Rocky Horror - started as a Transylvanian, Brad, Riff-Raff and finally Dr. Frank himself for a glorious 2 months when Iwas 21 and looking good. Then I gave up the acting stuff for art. Which I have also set aside. But now Iwill get back into it. i blame that entirely on teiko and glockgal.

I just realized I'm babbling.

in the whole time I've been at work (almost a year and a half) we have yet to have a cafe/music manager that has known cafe. and the fact that the one we have now sucks has nothing to do with his lack of cafe knowledge and everything to do with the fact that... he sucks.
