More answers!

[livejournal.com profile] powrhug I have to admit, I've never tried them.

[livejournal.com profile] rachelmap Realizing that the towns up here CLOSE DOWN AT 6PM!!!! If I want pizza at midnight, I'm out of luck. 24-hour stores? Don't exist. We had one convenience store open 24 hours, Wal-Mart & K-Mart close. I was used to being able to get enything at any time and now this? And don't get me started on mass transit.

[livejournal.com profile] kinkykittens Daily orgasms. A requirement. O ra Mounds bar every morning.

[livejournal.com profile] corporealdreamr Working in a bookstore I've been around the books since the first one. I actually refused to read them BECAUSE they were so popular. I didn't cave until after seeing the madness around the release of the third. All it took was me being bored on my lunch one day and picking up the first book. I had finished it before leaving work that day. Slash stories didn't get discovered until after the fourth book, though.

[livejournal.com profile] patchworkdragon I have to admit the thought of him lying back while I trot out my mad oral skills makes me lightheaded. The lead in would have to incvolve a LOT of kissing. A LOT.

[livejournal.com profile] turps33 I've actually thought about this. It's because (as a generalization) we're lazy and relatively unimaginative. Reading involves too much work and imagination. Give us visuals to look at or watch and we're happy. Shallow isn't it? It's probably because when we are growing up, as men we are expectedto focus on the "real world" and not dream about things. "Do" don't "think". In my case that was how my father was raised but my mother felt that we should all be allowed to keep our fantasies and imagination as long as possible.

[livejournal.com profile] dmbman1972 I've never even seen any in real life, let alone tried one.

[livejournal.com profile] trumpeterofdoom This one shall have to be it's own post. Oh yes.

We had a "release party" that over a hundred kids came to. Madhouse city. The fourth book was even worse for the release. I was in a smaller, newer store for 5 , and I don't see 6 being too bad up here, just not that many people in town.

Now, now. I don't do things like that with an audience.

Anymore.

Interesting answer and one I can see in terms of James and I. He has very little imagination and is very visually orientated.

It's a shame because having more male slash writers can only be a good thing.
