So I've been playing around with that Potter/Popslash crossover 'o doom timeline and I realized some things. It looks like Bill Weasley was at Hogwarts for the Marauders' last two years. That's cool.

Chris Kirkpatrick: The above tangented (I know it's not a word.) into the idea that when Bev's second husband/boyfriend left her she was allowed to move to some land, with a very low rent, that her first husband's parents owned (Chris was their first male grandchild and they feel guilty that their son bailed.) that was next door to the Weasley's. Due to the fact that Chris was born with dual citizenship as his father was visiting on a Visa, if that's how it works legally, I'll have to look into that.

I picture them moving over when he was around 6 or so (1977), which would make Kate four and Molly one. Bill would be 12 and Charlie 10, Percy would also be one. So Chris could have been babysitted by Molly and grown up with two older "brothers" to help out. This would also put him into an antagonistic position with Percy and the twins' practical-joke mentor when they are born the next year.

Kevin Richardson: I picture him as part of the Black family tree, he was born in 71, the year before Narcissa graduated from Hogwarts, so I picture her being the godparent/godaunt to an American cousins child, one she was close to before her friend moved to the states. He comes and stays with them at a young age when his father acquires a lingering illness and the family can't cope. I guess this would make Brian a Black by relation (probably through marriage).

Still pondering.

Kevin's actually the same age as Chris. His b-day is 10/03/1971 which makes him two weeks older I believe.

This thing is fun like you wouldn't believe! Trying to come up with logical (OK, semi-logical if you don't look too closely) reasons people would be in this same universe. How the variosu relationships exist, what Houses they would end up in, so forth and so on.

It's almost addicting, I may have found the bunny to actually get me writing. Who knows.

I distinctly remember at Nimbus when a presenter mentioned during his presentation that Bill had overlapped with the Marauders at Hogwarts. The first chance I got, I ran back to my room and began digging through the books to verify it, and sure enough, it's there. I wonder if at some point in time, Harry will put 2 and 2 together and ask Bill if he knew his dad, or if JKR has purposely kept Bill out of the books as much as possible so that she can spring this on readers at some time. But you'd that that *Bill* would realize how much Harry would appreciate hearing just about anything about his father and Sirius.

But how often would six/seventh years interact with the first years? I remember being a freshman and not having any major interactions with the uperclassmen except for a few times a year, and the disdain was occasionally obvious. And that was only a three year difference. The Marauders would be five years older.

I'm still trying to figure the dorm situation and if that would have any impact on things.

That's a good point. On the other hand, Bill might at least know some stuff about the Sirius and James because of their high profiles (Sirius = school bad boy, James = star seeker). OK, it's a stretch.
