Well, she's moving out this week.
AND giving her two weeks at work, which was helped along by the GM telling her she was easily replaced. My question is, "by whom?" They took four months to replace the last Supervisor to leave. They haven't hired anyone for the cafe and that's the one department of the store that NEEDS people, they will have one part-timer in aweek. That's it. One. They've known about the need for people for over two months now, but have they done anything about it? No.
This means I will be moving as well, I can't afford this place on my own with utilities. Which means I will be moving in two weeks, I'm letting er know that's when I will be leaving. The cool thing is she won't hold me to the lease if I need to move and don't need to give 30-days notice. She is going after for the rent still owed. Which, unfortunately, means I am out 400 bucks for my share of the deposit. That's going to pay her back rent.
I go look at one bedrooms and studios tomorrow. Hopefully I find one and they let me move in mid-month. IF I can scrounge the money needed - first month and deposit (which usually equals one month), or in this case a half-month and deposit. Plus the fees for the truck rental to move all of my crap. And I have to round up people to help me do this, ask for the weekend off, transfer my utilities and make sure the family knows where I am.
Not happy. Disappointed yes. Resigned as well.
Wish me luck in the hunt. Challenge is still (cross all appendages) a go! I put have to budget less.
Feh.

Date: 2004-05-02 07:10 pm (UTC)It's a sucky meanwhile, but hey, you're seeing the end the transition here, if you look at it like that. New beginnings and all those cliches I'm not gonna bother repeating. Just hang in there, and it all works out in the end, right?
Hey, at least you're still GOING, that counts for a lot, doesn't it?

Date: 2004-05-02 07:58 pm (UTC)Well, the having to move definitely sucks. But I would have to say that not heaving to deal with the stupid ex-roommate is a definite yay.
I hope you can find someplace affordable to stay ^_^. ::good-luck hug::
