Returns have started at work.

To our customers: You don't have to tell me all about your Aunt Leslie who bought you this book/cd/dvd becasue ten years ago you were in love with this author/singer/actor and now you need to exchange it for something else/refund it/ get credit. Just tell me it was gift you didn't want and I'll be happy. I'll be even happier if you have a receipt, otherwise you ain't gettin' cash. Why would you think otherwise? If we followed the rules to the letter I don't actually have to take it back at all. This is a service we graciously supply, so don't get snappy with me if I can't give you cash if you can't prove it was bought from our cmpany.

love lots, me.

That's the kind of few days it's been. That and a lot of "sticker all of the after-holiday sale product", and "what do you mean we don't have enough stickers?" Hello, did anyone bother letting me know that I would need to order this stuff for you, or did you just forget to check the stock levels of YOUR department? I have enough troubles making sure that everyone's timecards are correct so you get paid right. Idiots need to remember how to clock in and out for their shifts.

I'm bitching aren't I?

On a good note I finally finished watching TTT: EE. Nice, I found the Frodo/Sam part ofthe story to drag a bit. For me, maybe I just wasn't into the drama today. I also watche PotC. Damn funny movie. Excellent effects. I can see the slash aspects of it, but Captain Jack still squicks me as a figure of attraction.

[livejournal.com profile] otherdeb! The package came today! I just went to the mailbox and found it, will have to watch after work tomorrow.

Will also have to do some major catch-up on the SeSa stories and buckle down to do feedback. The ones I've read so far are damn good. Even the pairings I don't normally like. Only about a third ofthe way through, though. Hope to be caught up by the end ofthe weekend.

[livejournal.com profile] powrhug! Kare! Vacation for July has been granted! I'm taking the entire week off just forthe hell of it, will be there for the same dates as you will. Challenge will be my big Sparkly Event this year. Unless, of course, BSB tours later. Iwant to see Howie & Nick live. And Kevin, if he has longer hair. I heart the longer hair.

Wasn't I just verbose this evening? Now to catch upon LJland and see what's going on out there.

ah, I remember those days, and I was thinking the same thing you just said. And it's why I'm so tolerant of people who work retail. Some of the stories the people came up with why they didn't want the cd or movie gave us employees a good laugh for the day.

I love retail, I am sick as I have no desire to ever leave it. I am a retail slut.

I love some ofthe stories as well, that and the customers who are looking for books that surprise thehell out of you. the 80 year old lady looking for Kama Sutra books comes to mind.

we are lucky enough to not have to deal with tax in NH. A no tax state. Except when people are returningthings from other states.

And those idiots who want to return Gift Certificates. Hello, it says right on it, "not redeemable for cash" - it's not my fault you can't control your money.

At least there are good customers who can balance the bad.

I don't understand returning gift cards. I don't believe for a second you can't find a way to spend any amount of money at a store like Borders. I mean seriously. COME ON! YOU'LL USE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
