Dec. 23rd, 2003 12:36 amI was thinking of this fandom and my history in it today.
What little history there is.
It started, as probably so many do, with Nifty. Where I avoided the RPS like the plague. Then I heard the No Strings Attached CD and was curious enough to click on the "Boybands" link.
Am I gld I did.
For a six months I believe that was the only place I found the fic. Until I followed an URL to (if I remember right) to either My Surprise Romance or Sentimental Journey. I was all about the OMC back then. Still am to a certain extent.
From there I followed links all over the place. Joined a list about a year and a half ago, finally, andthen justover a year I joined LJ.
Fun times.
My original pairings were few. SDB/OMC. Rarely ever an intraband or crossover. Main character almost aslways, JC, Lance, Howie or Nick. Sometimes Brian or Chris.
Since then I have branched into (in order of preference, I think): Howie/Lance (Mochamint), Lance/JC (Bassez), Howie/JC (need a name for this) , Lance/Justin (Lambs), Kevin/JC (need a name!), SDB/OMC, Lance/Chris (Trickyfish), Lance/Nick (is there a name?) , Nick/Howie (HoNi), Eminem/Lance (shush, you!), Justin/Nick (Golden Boys?), Wade/SDB, AJ/JC (Letterboys), Nick/Aaron (Cartercest, I'm so dirty) and everything else. Still don't read Joeyfic unless it's part of GSF. I just can't see it, personally.
And how proud am I that the pairing name for Lance/Howie is mine? Mochamint. Four people have it as an interest now.
Since I don't write (yet, yes Kare I am succumbing to the dark side, slowly) I consider it my contribution to the fandom so far.
