lincolnkwThere's nothing like starting the day in a panic to get the blood flowing. Woke up convinced I was two hours late for work and almost fell out of bed to get to the phone and let them know I was on my way. Glanced at the clock and realized I still have an hour and a half before I need to leave.
Trying to get my heart started again.
A girl at work last night was talking about collecting things, since almost everyone does, and she asked me about what I collected. I rattled off the list of things I used to collect and the things I currently collect. She just blinked at me and said "ummm, OK."
Used to collect: any movie with Katherine Hepburn in it, comics, action figures, old Toonerville Trolley prints/books, CDs by gay/bi artists, movies with gay/bi themes, Disney cartoons, Looney Tunes cartoons, owl stuff, dark-colored dragon stuff, Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, original cast CDs, RPG games/rulebooks, vintage adult pictures from the 30s - 40s (don't ask, I'm not sure how that one started, just glad it ended), books based on comic strips
Currently collect: comics, RPG games/rulebooks, original cast CDs, CDs by gay/bi artists and CDs with Cole Porter songs on them, CDs with Christine Lavin on them
She said she collected things about mosquitos. Ummm, OK.
So the CD and comic thing are almost out of control, approximately 8000 comics and 1200 CDs, covering every genre imaginable (not languages, genre). I've had to budget myself to be able to afford other things. I do have a tendency to impulse shop.
