erg. hating yahoo.

Sooo, Yahoo sucks. The file for Tina' Arenas song "Burn" is just too big. So y'all have to go download it or find someone who owns it or go someplace with digital listening and try that. It's from her CD In Deep or the live version on Souvenirs. So worth it.

OK. did I miss a memo? Why was today so busy and hellish at work? Why do people circle the parking lot for 15 minutes looking for that close spot when you could have parked and walked in? Why do you pick out 15 books on Interior Design (all large ones) and just leave them on the couch? Umm, this is the theoretical "you" by the way. Why do you complain that people should know what they are looking for and then ask for the song by "that girl on the radio, you know, the famous one." It's Norah Jones, by the way, whom I have never actually heard singing. And why call me up to ask who's performing in Manchester? In an auditorium? Why would I know? I di but that's irrelevant, and a little frightening. And why would an amployee bothercalling to say they are going to be 10 minutes late andthen not show up at all? We all know how annoyingit is when someone else does it, why would you tink you can?

Grrr. Need to calm down. So survey time, stolen form [livejournal.com profile] augustuscaesar.

1. Explain why you started to journal/blog.

Because I wanted to inflict my own little brand of insanity on others for no reason other than my own enjoyment. Then I discovered that this is actually a real community and that people who's journals you read are actual people with personalities and lives and everything.

2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not?

Nope, there are maybe two people who know I have one, but they don't know my LJ name. Which is probably good because I bitch about work and they report to me. And my family members just aren't interested. For the most part they are ambivalent about the gay thing, supportive and accepting, but they don't want to read about it all the time. Which is fine, I can mouth off on sparkly boys and they won't laughat me at the reunions.

3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog?

Theme? I have to have a theme? I don't remember that duringthe sign up phase.

4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year?

Again. Direction? Hmmmm, who knows how this could go.

5. Five of your favorite journals/blogs.

OK, not too hard here.

[livejournal.com profile] powrhug, she is just so great! One ofthe first peopel I friended who wasn't already known to me beforehand.

[livejournal.com profile] ianmcduff, not so much for his journal, because, HELLOO, he doesn't post often enough for that, but for his comments. He is my idol. I wish I were half as intelligent as him. And yes, I have a sort of crush on him.I think he knows this by now. Lord I haven't crushed since the late 80s

[livejournal.com profile] amandazillah, eee! I like her lots. The first to AIM me, her Pagan!Sync fic, her general attitude are all reasons to be on the list

[livejournal.com profile] allen_sama and [livejournal.com profile] mdbl are tied because of the artwork, man, the artwork! Beautiful. they made me get back into the drawing thing. Getting closer and closer to actually posting some of them.

[livejournal.com profile] dothelancedance, my Borders buddy! She understands, dude. She understands. And the Dom! The Orli! She's watching Color Purple! She's me! Escept female. And on the other side of the country. And younger. And is educated. And infintely cooler. OK, so she's not me. She just works at the same company and has the same taste as me. Or I as her.

That was a little harder than I thought. Give me time, others will work there way up ther and it will have to expand. I'm sure of that

And may I just say that Syleena Johnson, R&B singer extraordinaire, is now one of my favorites. I melt when she sings.

Oh, Hon.

But trust me. I'm not worth it.

hey, it's MY crush. man, let me make the decision.

No need to be so depreciating. You are many kinds of cool. And do keep in mind it's based entirely on my online perceptions of you, the various comments back and forth, and huge assumptions based on your writing style and dropped comments.

Let me crush, I'm enjoying myself and it harms no one. Unless it seriously skeeves you, let me know and I'll reign it in. Be all cordial and like that.

It actually gives me something to look forward to. So it's all good. And really, what are the chances of our ever really meeting? It's a harmless online crush, I like talking to you, you're friendly, wicked intelligent and witty like no other, with writing skills above and beyond most peoples (not surprising as you're a professional, apparently) and a certain openness that I like.

And, no, I've never been prone to stalkerish tendencies. So too much work there.

Oh. Well, In THAT Case...

... Crush away. I'll just be over here blushing like a 17-year-old-Lance, and feeling intensely flattered.
