hmmm, Harry Potter and comic book thoughts

I just realized something, and only three people shall probably get this.

The Harry Potter Trio (Harry, Hermione and Ron) are almost exact replicas of the Legion of Super-HEroes founders (Cosmic Boy, Satrun Girl and Lightning Lad).

Think about it.

Saturn Girl is fiercly intelligent and something of a rules stickler, Lightning Lad is hot-headed and impulsive (and, actually, something of a wimp. And things just seem to keep happening to him.), ad Cosmic Boy is the consumate leader, smart, rather cool-headed but with an intensity and passion that comes through.

And they look like each other.

Ron/Garth - red-headed and tall. Hermione/Imra - dirty blonde hair (at least in Imra's first appearance) and Harry/Rokk - brunette and pretty.

Does this make Dumbledore actually R.J. Brande? The all-powerful/rich headmaster/founder??

And what about Draco? Who would he be? Sun Boy? McCauley? Ultra Boy?

Neville is definitely Bouncing Boy. Cho is Shadow Lass, Justin is Element Lad, Seamus is Matter-Eater Lad, Dean is Colossal Boy, and Ginny is Shrinking Violet.

Interesting, was Rowling a comic book reader? Do we know?

The Stepford Wives?

I am so going to see this movie. Glenn Close, Faith Hill and Bette Midler as Wives. It's a comedy, I love it when Glenn Close does comedy. It's written by the same guy who wrote The Addams Family and does the Libby Gelman-Waxner movie reviews for Premiere magazine.

And it has Roger Bart (Snoopy!!) as a "Wife". Yep, he's playing gay again AND is in an accepted relationship in suburbia.

It also has Nicole Kidman who looks to start out very gothic with dark hair, funky cut and ratty clothes then gets brainwashed into Wifeness.
